Oxygenating Pond Plants play a very essential role in any pond or Aquarium and are a common sight because  they assist with the natural  balance of the pool. Technically, there are many reasons how Oxygenating plants do this,  but the main reason is that they release oxygen during daylight hours, benefitting the fish population and the natural balance of the pond by using up nutrients which algae would otherwise use. Oxygenating Pond Plants release carbon dioxide at night -too many of them is detrimental to a heavily stocked pool so keep them under control!

We sell our oxygenators in bunches which are held together with a strip of lead, you can leave them like this and throw them into the pond to add shade over the top but they will not last long-term this way. Planting them is very easy - simply push the bunches into the aquatic soil, they will root quickly and then just put the basket into your pond, usually at the deepest point.
